The third China International Conference on Electricity Distribution (CICED 2008)，after
CICED2000 in Shanghai and CICED2006 in Beijing, will be held in Guangzhou from
10th to 13th Dec, 2008.
It is organized by Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE) and hosted
by Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau of Guangdong Power Grid Corporation. CICED 2008
will explore how to promote sustainable power technology innovation, discuss the
development of contemporary urban power grids and the application of new equipments
in order to provide the urban and rural residents with better electrical services.
The theme of CICED 2008 is “Share innovation, better serve society”.
The conference sets up a Directing Committee, a Technical Committee and an Organizing
Committee.

The CICED 2008 will last 4 days, 3 days for keynote speeches, paper presentation
and discussions, round-table seminars and new technology forum, 1 day for a technical
visit of the facilities and equipments in Guangzhou’s power supply industry, and
a cultural tour in Guangzhou city. New distribution technology and equipment exhibition
will also be held alongside the event. The official language of the conference is
English and Chinese, facilitated with simultaneous oral interpretation.
